The excess is the part of any claim you pay yourself. On a home policy it is £250, and we take it off the amount we agree before the money reaches you.

- Escape of water from tanks or pipes
- Theft or attempted theft
- Riot or civil commotion
- Malicious damage by third parties
- Falling trees or branches
- Impact by vehicles or aircraft
- Subsidence, heave or landslip
- Accidental damage to fixed glass and sanitary ware
Cover applies while the policy status is Active.
What’s not covered
- Wear and tear
- Gradual deterioration
- Frost damage to outside pipes
- Damage while the home is unoccupied for more than 60 consecutive days
