Travel insurance

Standard excess £100 for each claim.

The excess, in one line

The excess is the part of any claim you pay yourself. On a travel policy it is £100, and we take it off the amount we agree before the money reaches you.

What’s covered

  • Emergency medical treatment abroad
  • Repatriation
  • Trip cancellation
  • Trip curtailment
  • Missed departure
  • Travel delay over 12 hours
  • Lost or stolen baggage
  • Lost passport or travel documents
  • Personal liability abroad

Cover applies while the policy status is Active.

What’s not covered

  • Pre-existing medical conditions that were not declared
  • Extreme sports without an add-on
  • Travel against government advice
  • Incidents involving alcohol or drugs

These are the standard exclusions for this product. Your own schedule may add more, so read it alongside this page.

Before we can discuss your claim

Anything specific to your policy or your claim needs two things from you first: your policy number and the postcode registered on the policy. We check both before we read out any detail. Our approved repairer list and our general claims guidance are open to everyone and need no verification at all.
